Giving

Why give?

Giving to the Honors College supports an immersive education that attracts talented, ambitious and high- achieving students to Wayne State. As a supporter, you help the next generation of Honors College students to achieve their goals.

Alumni of the Honors College, Mackenzie Honor Society, Monteith College, or Merit Scholars program may choose to designate gifts to a scholarship that carries forward the legacy of their particular cohort:

  • Merit Scholars Alumni Annual Scholarship
  • Monteith College Endowed Scholarship
  • David Mackenzie Endowed Scholarship

The dean of the Irvin D. Reid Honors College, John Corvino, is creating an endowed scholarship to benefit Honors College students.  A former honors student and 20+ year WSU philosophy professor, Dean Corvino shares his passion and motivation for making this gift.

In addition to scholarships, you can direct support to undergraduate research funds or study abroad programs. You also can support events and programming that make up the Honors College's unique educational model, like service-learning projects and experiential field trips. Or you can direct support to areas where funding is needed most. Please contact our Philanthropy staff below.
