Special programs
Taking advantage of our distinctive identity within an urban research university, the Irvin D. Reid Honors College promotes thoughtful engagement with the City of Detroit and the world beyond. By connecting students with service-learning, entrepreneurial, and leadership-development opportunities, we deepen their academic experience and prepare them as constructive problem-solvers for a complex world. Some of our special programs and initiatives include:
- Applebaum Emerging Leaders Program
- Community of Scholars: A service organization that requires a minimum 3.0 GPA and 15 service hours each semester.
