Honors graduate Hannah Loesch, a member of Wayne State's Women's Swimming and Diving team, found out today she was named to the College Sports Information Directions of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-America At-Large First Team today.

Loesch was four-time All-American (two First Team and two Honorable Mentions) at the 2016 NCAA Swimming and Diving National Championships. She won four GLIAC titles in February at the conference championship and was selected as a recipient of the 2016 GLIAC Commissioner's Award. In her collegiate career, she earned nine All-American accolades (five First Team, four Honorable Mentions) and was voted to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® Third Team in 2015. The 2016 Deans' Award winner from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Loesch was selected to the GLIAC All-Academic Excellence Team for three straight seasons and has been named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll (term GPA 3.5+) for seven semesters, including five 4.00 terms and the Coach's Honor Roll (term gpa 3.0-3.49) the other term. An English Honors major, Loesch graduated last month with a 3.889 cumulative GPA.

The at-large program for the CoSIDA Academic All-America® program includes the sports of fencing, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing, swimming and diving, tennis, water polo for both men and women; bowling, crew and field hockey for women; and volleyball and wrestling for men.

Loesch was one of 11 women named as a repeat performer on this year's at-large team.
