PITTSBURG, Kan. -- Wayne State University sophomore hurdler Karrington Seals (North Farmington, Mich. / Farmington Hills) became the first All-American in the four year history of the Warrior women's indoor track and field squad on Saturday evening.

Seals placed eighth in the 60m hurdles finals in a time of 8.70.

This was the third consecutive year, WSU has had individuals qualify for the NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field National Championships.

Three of the top four teams in the country are fellow Midwest Region members as Hillsdale finished second with 58 points, Grand Valley State was third with 33 points and Lewis University of the GLVC was tied-for-fourth with host Pittsburg State with 31 points. Lincoln (Mo.) won the team title with 60 points.

The Warriors finished in a 47th-place tie with one point.

Seals is currently majoring in Biochemistry & Chemical Biology.
