Five freshmen earn Rosa Parks scholarship
Five freshmen from the Irvin D. Reid Honors College's class of 2019 were recognized in the Detroit News on June 9 as Rosa Park Scholars. They were selected based on their academic skills, community involvement, economic need and their belief in the ideals of the Detroit civil rights icon Rosa Parks.
Three recipients will be Honors College students, while two will be members of the college's Community of Scholars.
The award winners are:
