Dolinski excels in both the classroom and pool

Kaylee Dolinski not only excels in the classroom, but in the pool as well as a member of Wayne State's Women's Swimming and Diving team.

A senior majoring in Biological Sciences Honors, Dolinski received the 2014-15 Dean's Award from the Honors College for having the highest cumulative grade point average of all student athletes in the Honors College. She has also been named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll (term g.p.a 3.5 or above) five times and the Coach's Honor Roll (term g.p.a 3.0-3.49) her other two semesters at Wayne State.

She was also named to the 2014-15 GLIAC All-Academic Excellence Team.

At the GLIAC Championships, she finished second in the 1000 free (10:22.81) and helped the 800 free relay finish third (7:38.24), swimming the third leg. She also competed in the 200 free (1:54.55), 500 free (5:06.90) and the 1650 free (17:39.35).

During the regular season, Dolinski swam in seven meets, posting top regular season times in the 50 free (27.01) vs. Findlay on January 16, 2015, 100 free (56.66) at the Eastern Michigan Invitational on December 5, 2014, 200 free (2:00.16) versus Findlay on January 16, 2015, and 500 free (5:16.30) and 1000 free (10:43.21) against Grand Valley State on January 10, 2015.
