It was standing room only on Thursday, March 12 as 46 students packed the Honors College classroom to hear Associate Professor of Political Science Dr. Kevin Deegen-Krause talk about his route to studying Central European political parties during the fourth Research@Honors workshop of the 2014-15 school year.

Dr. Keegan-Krause focuses his research the political parties and democracy in Europe with emphasis on Europe's newer democracies and its new parties.

He said after becoming a student of politics, research opportunities geared his interest towards becoming a student of Central Europe, then Central European politics, then Central European political parties before becoming a student of everything.

At the end, students asked for his thoughts about fixing the current state of the American political system.
