Scholars Day is a series of invitation-only events during which the Irvin D. Reid Honors College recruits its freshman class from the university's most promising first-year applicants. During the event, students will write an essay, participate in a small-group interview and attend an academic resource fair. There is also a special program for parents and guests who attend Scholars Day.

Every student who is invited to and participates in Scholars Day will be considered for membership in the Irvin D. Reid Honors College and a possible additional award.

In order for a student to be considered for Scholars Day participation, he or she must submit a completed WSU admission application (including all required documents) to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Students who applied by December 1, 2017, received the fullest scholarship and award consideration. APPLY to Wayne State now. 

Upon admission to WSU, qualified students receive an invitation to Scholars Day by mail or email. Scholars Day 2018 events are scheduled for the following dates:
