Scholars Day Volunteers

Scholars Day 2013:
  • Saturday, November 23
  • Sunday, December 8

Scholars Day is an enormous undertaking that requires the help of more than 350 volunteers who generously give their time, talents and energy.

Volunteers (faculty, staff, alumni, and donors) are needed to serve as proctors and ambassadors to prospective students.

Student volunteers (must be members of the Honors College or Community of Scholars) are needed to lead scholarship student groups through a variety of buildings, so they must be familiar with campus.

Why volunteer?

Volunteering is a great way to meet people and give back to Wayne State University.

Meaningful volunteer opportunities help you connect with the university. Meeting the wonderful and high-achieving students who will become alumni is an opportunity you don’t want to miss.

As a student volunteer, you'll benefit from meeting other students and working with professionals who can later assist in a job search or provide a letter of recommendation.  Build your resume by showing you are involved, knowledgeable, and willing to put in more than what is required to graduate.

Volunteer commitments can help your graduate school applications shine!
